Listeria is a gram positive bacteria, and does not cause invasive damage to the internal organs. However, looking at the number of outbreaks relating it to sprouts, I would recommend pregnant women to stay clear of any sprouts in their diet.
The reason: Listeria can cause spontaneous abortion in women in their second trimesters of pregnancy. Infact, they should stay clear of any salads and cheeses as well as Listeria tends to lurk in these foods.
