Milk in Hot Sauce Chips Brings Recall in Canada

Canada’s Loblaw Companies Limited (Loblaw) is warning the public not to consume President’s Choice Louisiana Hot Sauce Thick Cut Dipping Chips because the product contains milk ingredients.

The affected product, President’s Choice Louisiana Hot Sauce Thick Cut Dipping Chips is sold in a 275g package and has a UPC number of 0 60383 99282 8 and a code date on package 2010 JL 12.

The product contains a milk ingredient, which is not identified on the packaging.

The Louisiana Hot Sauce is sold at various Loblaw stores: corporate, franchise, and affiliated independents. Specifically:

-nofrills in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan

-Extra Foods in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Yukon and Northern.

-Real Canadian Superstore in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

-Affiliated Independents in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northwest, and Ontario.

The affected product described above may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk. There have been no reported injuries or illness associated with the consumption of this product.
