The health of the public, our environment and the economy are intrinsically linked to our food system and the food choices we make. The 2009 S3 Symposium will examine aspects of our current food system that define varying levels of food safety, security, and sustainability, explore the implications for our health, and unveil ground-breaking solutions to our most pressing issues. Featuring speakers such as Keynote Speaker Mike Taylor, the FDA's Senior Advisor to the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, Dr. Mark Horton, Director, CDPH, A.G. Kawamura, Secretary, CDFA, and Andy Fisher, Executive Director, Community Food Security Coalition, S3 sessions will appeal to a wide array of disciplines, including Public Health, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Nutrition, Food Safety, Food Industry, Agriculture, Academia and more.
